Most things for their value alone aren’t worth stealing. But there are other reasons to steal: convenience, thrills, and just for the hell of it, to name a few.
As children we are brought up with the illusion of fairness. I don’t know if it is an aspirational idea or if times were simpler back then. I know I had to unlearn the idea.
Tax time is coming up again. Last year I didn’t claim the $30k I got from the court case. The investors shut down the start up I was part of. Assholes. Because of greed and avarice I hate working with or for investors.
I’m going to sell the bungalow and buy an apartment in the GTA, downtown, Young at Bloor, something up in the sky, where the air is fresh and clean. I’m not going to claim any capital gains tax on the bungalow. There hasn’t been any income attached to the property since we shut down the airbnb, before taking off to Kaohsiung.
Irean told a story about Taiwan after the war when the Japanese had been defeated, how her grandfather had moved into the valley and simply taken the land, squatting, as it was. A decade and a half later they were watermelon farmers and land owners.
Hippopotamuses can run almost 50 Kilometres an hour. People max out at about 45 Kilometres an hour, though most are a lot slower than that. I hate to run. I’m just a power source for my ideas. The monkey sits in the tree and is thrilled in a low level way.
The Berlin Wall was only ten feet high. But it was high enough to keep people in. Israel built a wall 25 feet high and 300 miles long. It does a good job of keeping people out. The Great Wall in China was built at a time when China turned inward. They could have been a great colonizing powerhouse. They could have invented tomato sauce.
