Snowpocalypse 2021: the end? in Day to Day

Things seem to be back to normal? Neighbors got power yesterday and brought us tacos, charro beans, rice, and sausage, and they can cook. Those tacos were divine.

Thomas is back at the office today. Nathan and I are out of school until Monday, likely while damages and things are assessed on campuses. I was supposed to have a test this week, so I should like.. study for that, or something. I have an essay due Monday, as well, but I’ll get that knocked out.

The crisis seems to have passed us with little actual damage (other than my waistline 🤦 GDMFing stress-eating…) But we shall regroup over the weekend and get things back to rights. It was a rather unprecedented occurrence… There’s still snow on the ground, but Thomas got to work fine.

A funny thing happened… The cats managed to break the base of a tower on their new cat tree. I emailed Chewy explaining what happened and asking if anything could be done. Before they even replied, they had a replacement order placed for free. Such service! I would have been happy with a replacement platform. Now we have to figure out if we have space for another cat tree or what to do with it..... The rest of the cat tree is fine, it was a short tower that broke.

In other news, we purchased something on Amazon that promises to be fun. It’s a pair of positioning wedges with accoutrements. We’ll see if it was worth the cost!

I have no idea what a pair of positioning wedges with accoutrements is but it sounds exciting.

Pleased to know you guys are relatively unscathed, the whole thing has just been awful!

Chewy has donated free dog / cat crates to rescues too in the past . :-) I think they are a very good company .
