And So it Goes... in And So It Goes....

I have not run into my ex-friend since yesterday, when she told me “where to go”. When I was outside, at noon I saw her coming into the building, w/ her daughter. I pretended as if I did not see her and looked the other way. I do not want any further complications. Yesterday evening, and into the night it was relatively peaceful and quiet. I think my landlord may have talked to her. I have also not seen her daughter bringing in her dog. My landlord told me that he had a talk with my ex-friend about that. I simply wish to live a tranquil existence, here at the building, if that is possible. I was instructed as far as what I should do, if any type of serious problem or disruption occurs. Some people on my floor demonstrate extremely erratic behaviors on a routine basis and, in my opinion, they are in fact disturbing the peace. Some of my neighbors are elderly and or disabled, and are more than likely afraid to get involved. They may be afraid, and I cannot honestly say that I blame them. So, guess who is elected when there is a medical emergency, or if there is an odor of natural gas, or disturbance? You’ve got it…Anne Marie (formerly chocolate chip), lol. Life has gone on, and it has not been too terribly uncomfortable, even though my ex-friend’s residence is adjacent to mine. She does not come out of her apartment that often, so I hardly ever see her. I just heard someone loudly say, “b****h”. This is exactly what I am talking about. It should not go on, but it does, unfortunately. All that I can do is ignore it, or contact the proper authorities if it becomes highly disruptive. There are some other tenants on this floor whom might be capable of stepping up to the plate when the situation arises, but for whatever reason, they choose not to get involved. Believe it or not, I was, at one time a medication nurse. Point being, when there was not enough nursing coverage on my shift, not only would I have my usual 25 patients, but I would have an additional 25 patients to oversee and care for, which included the medication passes, taking vital signs, monitoring tube feedings, limited intravenous therapy, aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, blood glucose monitoring and intramuscular, subcutaneous and tuberculin injections. I would also be in charge of the total of four state tested nurses aides, so I am pretty much used to handling responsibilities and working on my own. Point being, when a situation does arise, I try to handle it the best way I know how. I am simply trying to enjoy my “older years”. As many of you know, I just turned 60 years old. Have any of you diarists ever pressed the wrong key while typing an entry and lost your entire entry ? That has happened to me several times. More later.

I'm sorry your neighbors are giving you grief. Yes! I've had that problem with disappearing entries. Very frustrating.

Thank you for your concern, Rivercity.
