When I read that Tim Hortons, our most beloved coffee franchise recently launched bacon flavoured coffee, my fist thought was, “Why did it take this long?” We already have cereal flavoured coffee after all (Ovaltine).
Coffee-flavoured cereal. That’s just the way I like my coffee: cold, sweet and crunchy. They should have invented bacon flavoured coffee. Then they’d be on to something. I’d buy that.
Not to be outdone, Starbucks announced that it would be closing its stores for an afternoon of sensitivity training to address the concerns of granola.

I usually skip breakfast, at least in the morning. I like to start my day with two supersized cups of coffee with milk in my insulated Yeti, and that’s enough to carry me thought to mid-afternoon when I usually graze on whatever has been left over from all the other family members cooking du jour, be that leftover spaghetti with my phone, a cheese sandwich by the window…A satisfying number of strips of bacon between two scrawny heels of bread become a lightly toasted bacon sandwich with HP sauce, just the way my dear old dad would have done.

It’s all interpretive culinary delights around here. Fruit is sweet and juicy, I know, and can be crisp too depending. Cereal can taste like coffee. Why not? I’m not a stranger to creativity in the kitchen, in the backyard, in a toga, doing something that is going to lead to a chat with the constabulary. (But none of my opinions would ever lead to an assault charge. Creating a public disturbance is more possible.)
Lunch: a meatball sandwich and a beet salad.
In hong kong they have coffee/tea and noodles with dumplings both in the same cup or bowl as you would have it.

By the way, Walmart just launched khaki flavoured democracy. And there’s a sale on last year’s Viking collection of furry head gear and hunting vests.
