This afternoon, I managed to re-assemble my living room, as far as finding places for and putting away birthday and Christmas gifts, which were given to me on my birthday, last Tuesday. It looks much better in here. Tomorrow, I will work on my bedroom. I have storage boxes full of winter clothing, of which I need to sort through, and giving away those articles of clothing which I do not wear. Winter clothing uses up a lot more space than does summer wear. I have bags of laundry that need to be taken to the laundry room and washed. It is do-able. The holidays are behind me, I am requesting a caregiver through a home care agency, and met the criteria for Meals on Wheels, having received my first food delivery the day after I made application and completed the telephone assessment.
Friends and family have complimented me by telling me that I do not look 60 years of age, and perhaps I do not, but I could use some extra help, as I wrote about in a previous entry.
It was 11:30pm, last night when I woke up, went out into the living room and turned on the tv to NBC, to watch the ball drop. Bear and I messaged each other until midnight, and then wished each other a Happy New Year, reminiscing all the while, about holidays from days gone by.
