Things Are Working Out in Staying Connected

I’ve decided that I am going to quit my old job once and for all and go full time with my new job. I’m actually pretty excited.

I’ve been working at my new job now for a full month, and things seem to be going well. They’ve been consistently scheduling me for at least ten hours per week. They pay me $7 per hour more than my old job, they pay me even if my clients don’t show up, AND they pay me for supervision. I made a call today and learned that I am breaking no legal or ethical rules by telling my clients at my old job how to find me at my new job. I asked my new boss if she has any qualms with me doing exactly that, and, of course, she said she would welcome my clients with open arms (and pay me $7 per hour more to meet with them).

Is it bad that I can hear a little cackle in my mind that my old boss just gave me a $200 bonus and I’m going to thank her by quitting? I’ve just been so angry with her for being so secretive and deceitful.

I got the little digital pregnancy announcement from Etsy this morning, and now I’m really excited to post it on New Year’s Day. It’s going to be so cute.

I’m just feeling excited about the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve. Sunday is my daughter’s birthday. I’m currently waiting for three things to be delivered in the mail: 1) canvases of our family photos, 2) the gift for Terra, and 3) a new video baby monitor (because ours broke).

I’ve been hearing something about everyone getting another stimulus check. That will be nice.

Next thing on the horizon: study for licensing exam. Eek!
