Disappointed in USA in This little light of mine

I’ve been up since 3AM. I didn’t sleep well last night having slept at ~midnight. And yes, it is due to the elections.
I have lost hope for US America. Some speculate that votes can still swing in states depending on absentee ballots, but the fact is, as of right now there is no winner and it’s a close race.
And I’m not okay with it being a close race. I am not okay that so many people support a human being as filthy as trump, who has lied to the American people to protect his own interests, maligns anyone he dislikes through slander, and gets outraged when he can’t execute the dictatorship he wants; he who has traded lives for his campaign, who separated innocent children from their families, who is so far removed from the female reality that he literally has said “women just want their houses” in a speech that never touches on their dreams, aspirations, their long fight to be able to work, vote, or live a life outside of pleasing men.
Who refused to rebuke white supremacy on the spot and even encouraged them to “stand by.”
Who doesn’t get science and hires “yes men” and fires or threatens to fire those with moral fiber, the latter of which we need in politics—Calling Fauci a “bad team player,” and threatening to fire him, seriously? The facts, science, is not a team sport. It’s people dying and viral transmission—that should not be distorted for anyone to win re-election.
I am absolutely disgusted by the unwashed masses that have become the American people. The electoral college system was put in place to keep “plain America” from winning the vote, because it was believed that allowing “everyone to vote” would mean the idiots of America would choose the president. That was wrong.
My solution is that I am going to leave US America. I was born and raised in the Midwest, with middle-class values. I voted for Obama in 2008 and paid my respects alongside other Americans when McCain passed away. I was there through 9/11 and graduated university in the Great Recession. I always held onto the hope that was US America. Since when did we become so entrenched in fear and hatred. How could one man’s nasty rhetoric make us forget who we are and the true spirit of America. There is no other country in existence that I have called home.
—That doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. I work in healthcare. I will simply be using my talents and healing the sick elsewhere.
