I’m sitting on the couch watching Halloween Wars, surrounded by folded clothes because I have hit a wall. I cleaned the back patio earlier, which was in disarray after the termite treatment… when they said they were drilling, they weren’t kidding… they drilled through the concrete to place the treatment underneath and placed plastic caps through the holes.
Once Nathan went down for a nap, I put on a true crime show (Til Death Do Us Part on Hulu) and started cranking out laundry. I was planning on folding a basket or two.. somehow I’ve sorted and folded ALL THE LAUNDRY, and in this house, that really means something. I have three clean baskets just to myself, and that doesn’t include everything hung up. (I’m a major clothes horse. T-shirts and leggings, especially seasonal ones, make me happy, and I have a hard time throwing out clothes. It’s a problem.) I also sorted out all of Nathan’s 3T clothes, so he has a lot less clothing to manage and there’s a stuffed basket of clothes to pack away.
Now I’m exhausted. It’s stupid, but laundry is tiring! I spend all of it on my feet, turning, bending, tossing, etc. BUT. I have SO MUCH CLEAN LAUNDRY now. It’s fabulous. I haven’t fully caught up since I quit my job, so I’m hopeful that this will give me a start on keeping up on it.
I’m going to meet Mermaid and Scissors (she’s a hair stylist, not a psycho, promise) for dinner in over an hour. I’m looking forward to it. Thomas should be home soon. I did a Spanish test and got a 97, but trust me, it’s not as impressive as it sounds. Online class tests don’t have anywhere near the same level of stress and difficulty as in person, especially in community college.
Uggggh, more clothes ready to fold. At least it’ll be done for a bit!
