I have heard from a lot of people selling on facebook goes really well. I heard others say etsy takes a percentage of the money. Susan said etsy raises prices you suggested. I am tempted to make crafts and sell but I fear I will lose before I ever win. What is your experience selling online?

Etsy does take a small percentage of sales, and you have to pay to list your items. I'm not sure about how much it is because it's been years since I've sold anything on there. And there is just so many people selling on there, it's hard to be seen. I recommend selling on Facebook or Instagram and just using PayPal or venmo.

I did Etsy for a while. If I remember right, they charge a small fee just for the listing and then they take a percentage of the sale. The problem is there’s just SO many sellers on there, it’s hard to stand out. I think a lot of the people who succeed on Etsy are the ones who are out there doing craft shows and other stuff too. Facebook would be a good, free way to test the waters and see if people are interested.

I'd definitely stick with Facebook. Etsy is over-saturated and it's next to impossible to sell on there.
