This morning I went by bus downtown to buy a carton of cigars. After that, I took a bus up to Walmart. On the bus, there was a man from another high-rise whom liked to sing, as do myself. We ended up singing on the bus, and having a good old time, singing a lot of oldies tunes.
At Walmart, I bought $135.00 worth of groceries, with a lot of the order being baking supplies. I also bought other groceries. I for got to buy brown sugar, baking soda and vinegar. My German cookie recipe calls for sour milk, which I make from vinegar and milk. I was born in Germany, so I like to make a batch every year.
Here in the Ohio Valley, there is a touch of Fall in the air. You can feel it in the gentle wind. ‘Tis the calm before the storm, but I think we have quite a ways to go before we have to think about Winter, thankfully.
