21 clients down. 6 clients to go.
Usually I only schedule 26 clients per week, and the only reason I was able to schedule 30 this week was because I scheduled 9am appointments on four of the days. Never again, you guys. It goes back to what I was talking about in my video entry. I need time to think and write, and I usually do that in the mornings. This week it has been nonstop. I wake up early. I eat, shower, and get ready in a flurry and start working before I’ve even been able to process my life. And I know I sound like a broken record, but to have a head cold on top of everything else has fucking aged me. If you saw my video, you saw the fucking wrinkles around my eyes. I look 40.
Next week, I am not starting before 10am. For the rest of my life, I am not starting before 10am. That’s a firm rule.
I had mentioned that the only thing keeping me from seeing 28 clients every week is childcare, but I decided that’s bullshit too. Yes, I have the energy and capability of seeing that many clients, but I want to spend time with my daughter. I don’t want to be that mom who works 40+ hours a week and doesn’t get to spend quality time with her children.
We’ll see, but all I know in this moment is that the system I had prior to my Washington trip—where I work 30 hours per week, see about 25 clients, and don’t start until after 10am—was working, and I can’t wait to get back to it.
