Mombie in Day to Day

I’m a mombie today. Literally passed out on the couch earlier. No idea why I’m so exhausted, though I think I’m a little depressed about leaving my job. Yes, I bitched about it, but to be fair, I bitch about everything. I’m emotive and connection-seeking, and bitching together can be a very bonding experience. Try it sometime if you don’t know what I mean.

We logged in with Nathan’s teacher today and talked to her after. It seems the live streaming will end after this week, once school is back in person, so for us, she’ll send us links and activities to do on our own, which is what I wanted in the first place, so I’m going to stick with it until then and try it out. Nathan doesn’t like being watched over cam, which isn’t really a bad thing.

I assembled our new desk chair and took the big box and made him a “mystery shack” like his favorite show Gravity Falls (super cute, if you haven’t seen it, on Disney+.) He loves it, of course. We did some yoga, which he also enjoyed. One load of laundry is going, but I still need to unload the dishwasher and make myself lunch. I have a bunch of sewing to catch up on (always more masks) and dinner is planned, pot roast and whipped cauliflower.

Oh, and it’s our anniversary! 11 years and going strong. I might try to run to the store later and pick up a card, but we’ll see. It kind of snuck up on me. We did get dinner out on Saturday (Brazilian steakhouse, omg..... 🤤) while booger stayed with the inlaws. No idea if Thomas actually got me anything, not that I’m terribly worried about it, but I don’t want to not have something for him if he remembered. It’s his first day at his new job, so I have no idea where his mind is.

I’m definitely wasting valuable nap time when I should be cleaning, buuuut… I’m lazy today. It happens. 🤷

I thunk lunch is going to be chicken and avocado salad. Yummmm.
