Doing ok in Day to Day

Alright… I’m alive. Work is… work. It’s not bad, people or schedule-wise, but… we’re literally at the north edge of Harris county, where Houston is located, which is a nasty hotspot for corona right now. The Houston metro area has 15k active cases. Just my county has 1700 cases, with almost 100 new cases yesterday. I don’t love that I’m working in people’s mouths right now. I’m really hoping that things will close again until this shit is under control. I have a friend who has tested positive.

Not to be an alarmist, but I woke up this morning with a sore throat. It kind of went away, leading me to believe it was allergies, but it came back and I’ve also developed congestion and itchy ears to pair with the sore throat, so I just feel icky. We’ll see how I do tomorrow before work.

In other news… We had a change happen with Thomas’s vet benefits that will give Nathan and me health insurance and education benefits, so I’m really and truly thinking I want to work part-time and go back to school in August. I’m leaning towards English with a minor in technical writing, because writing is something I love and would love to do, and it seems like a good time to start moving into something I will really enjoy and move towards life goals. I don’t want to be a hygienist forever, not that that was ever the plan.

Ok, time for bed…

I've been thinking about you recently and I'm really pleased to see an update, and that you're okay!

That's great news about the benefits too, the feeling of moving towards something under your own steam is quite something. xx

They really need to shut down again.
