I got this article in my email this AM and thought it was a really fascinating tid bit that I wanted to share. 🌻

The American taxpayer pays for the GPS service enjoyed throughout the world.

Yay socialism!

Also same...but there should be a murder hornet app where you can keep track of them on the GPS...because murder hornets.

lol why hasn't anyone thought of this yet?!

I can't wait until the Corona virus mutates and attaches itself to insects and makes them grow. We will have huge spiders taking babies out of their rooms, and murder hornets picking up grown men and flying off with that point though it really won't matter if they are on GPS or not.

Big Ass Murder Hornets!!!!

I don't mind that at all. :) Then again, I'm all for social programs.

This is similar to the Internet. US ponied up most of the expense and now the world is enjoying it.
On the other hand, US used the Internet gateways and cabling to spy on its partners for decades. US might be using the GPS satellites to do the same on other countries. Since we are the only country with that much power, Europe launched its own GPS clone. China and Russia are attempting the same to protect their military might.
May be, a billion here and a billion there is not a bad investment. :-)
