That is such a cool bird. Thank you for sharing with us!

The dark one is the female and the yellow is male. Male is a sonofabitch and tries to bite me and sometimes does. I love the bastard! He has spirit. Not hand tamed. The female is sweet except for mating season which is now. Lays an egg and I toss it. Poor girl is often exhausted. Cannot have any more birds here. But I got her for him when I was working and they are a good couple. He tries to protect her. He is very accommodating when I have food. When I would drink beer, would share it with them. Same with ice cream. Now I have quit all that and they have to settle with yogurt and kombucha. At least the male bird. MF thinks he can whip my ass and damn that is spirited and stupid! Yeah they are fun. I feed them as much healthy stuff as I can. Like owning a dog or cat that way. I got tree branches in the house for them to perch on (and newspapers below!) Thanks for watching and your comment.

Absolutely, you’re most welcome. That is awesome that they drink beer! I haven’t given beer to any animal except horses. Maybe a dog of mine went after a sip once but horses love them some beer.

I quit drinking a few years ago, and I felt some remorse for poisoning the poor birds. They could fly OK it’s just landings were a bitch when they were drunk.

Skeletor Scott ⋅ April 27, 2024

I can imagine. Landings are a bitch for me when I’m sober 😆

Scott Skeletor ⋅ April 27, 2024

You’re not that old. But keep trying I hope you make it.

Skeletor Scott ⋅ April 27, 2024

Hah, it’s just because of broken bones. It’ll get better over time. Then worse when I’m older I’m sure

Scott Skeletor ⋅ April 27, 2024

No broken bones (yet) but suuuuure did get banged around a lot in that factory. At least 3 concussions but get your ass up, be a man and get back to work!

I’ve had to sing and dance that tune before for employers. I never will again
