There will be a brief outage while EWS exchanges the ailing hamster "Mr. Nibbles" with a newer hamster, "Fred", on the hamster dynamo wheel that runs OD's server, this afternoon. This is scheduled to begin around 3 p.m. Eastern time, or as soon as EWS gets back from Petco after lunch with visiting cousins at Applebee's, with midday traffic being taken into consideration. And whether or not they have an appetizer.

You know Bruce - you should be posting this at OD. Stop harassing us here and go back to YOUR site. You Really ARE like an abusive husband, to come stalking your victims here!

I CALL BULLSHIT

YOU SPILLED YOUR LUBE ON THE SERVERS AGAIN, DIDN'T YOU?!

The REAL DiaryMaster james ensor ⋅ September 12, 2013

Spilling lube on the server is against Open Diary TOS. I spilled it IN the server -- GIGGITY.

Do you think chinchillas would do a better job than hamsters?

The REAL DiaryMaster Lyn ⋅ September 12, 2013

Well, see, that's the thing. We tried them out but found that their fur got caught all up in the dynamo and- That's when we had that REALLY big problem, being down a few years back. So I'm stuck with this HUGE chinchilla ranch. I sank our lives' savings into it and- That's a story for another time.

Happy "retirement," Mr. Nibbles.

Applebee's sucks... no wonder OD isn't running right. Why Hamsters... when gerbils are far more energy efficient.

Bee Girl September 12, 2013

I hope you played "Born Free" when you set Mr. Nibbles loose at the farm. Rest in peace, Mr. Nibbles-- Um, no, wait, I mean, happy retirement, buddy!

Welcome, Fred! What a swell job you've landed!
